No one is perfect. The Angels are the ONLY team in MLB with a winning record against the Yankees. That says a lot about how good their team has been doing. That is my only explanation. No one is perfect.

The Angels are a team that can expose a weak defense. Their players are always trying to make contact with the ball, so the weaker the defense, the more hits the Angles get. The Yankees have a weak defense, and so the Angels take advantage of that. The Angels also have a lot of speed, and so it splits the pitcher's attention when there are runners on base. The Yankees catcher, Jorge Posada, also doesn't have a great arm, and so doesn't throw a high percentage of runners out, only around league average.

I watched the Angels beat the Yankees for two days in L.A. this weekend and I figured it out. If they play at home, for sure the Angels will win because they know exactly how and where to hit the ball in their own park. If the Yankee pitching is not up to par, like this weekend, the Angels maneuver the ball into the corners, or just beyond reach of the infield and just short of the outfield. They definitely know where the Yankee weak spots are and they expose them.
Face it, the Yankees are gonna keep getting their clocks cleaned by that Angels team when they play in Anaheim. The Angels got the Yanks number.
The Yankees will pull off a win every once in a while like today, but generally, they'll lose in Anaheim.
Sad but true.
And for the record, those Angel fans are so obnoxious! I hated it at Angels Stadium, man! They say things behind your back and when you turn around they act like it wasn't them. Chicken-sh** Angel fans! I don't mind some good-natured joking, but they were serious, saying mean stuff, not just mean, but spiteful. The only Angel fans that didn't do that were the older, 40 and 50-year-old fans that were just there to have a good time. I was miserable there!
They act like they're in first when they're really 6 games back from Oakland! They make me sick. Next time, I'm going to McAfee in Oakland. At least over there the fans don't need to be told to "make some noise" and "get loud" like at Angels stadium. How dead could they be? That was hilarious!
BTW: I like the Angels just not their fans. And don't bother emailing me to tell me off, I'll just ignore you.

2002 and 2005 playoffs, when the money was on the line. Gotta love it. The Angel fans are inert. The stadium has to tell them to make noise, the monkey is annoying. But the Angels do consistently beat the Yankees. Gotta love them for that.

Because these yankees are just weak compared to the yankees of the late 90s and they're going out the first round again like they did last year.

The Angels are surely better than the Yankees, just like the Red Sox are 'truely superior' overall against both teams! Go SOX!!!

Because the Angels are the better team. You Yankee fans still live in the past and suffer under the delusion that the Yankees are champions. Reality shows they are CHUMPS!!

It is the manager
the team is a lot more aggressive and will swing at a lot of the pitches and they are fast on the bases
that really gets inside a pitchers head
they are not owed angels have only one about 3 more games of the series than the yanks have

The Angels are a team with Speed, Power which helps them win most of their games. And at times they have Cy Young award caliber pitchers until they are overused and become injured. The reason they lose is they have poor defensive skills, with the exception of Vlad Guerrero

Not sure, some teams just seem to have another team's number for whatever reason, like this series and Seattle/Oakland. Some of it might be the Angels pitching and some of it could be mental knowing that they have struggled against them.
