Your husband abused you because you allowed him to do so. YOU are in control of your life. YOU have control of your destiny and no one else is responsible.

From what you have written then he hasn't really "abused" you. Yes it sounds like he's a first class prichk, but that does not constitute abuse.

You now have a choice to make....if you have no children then simply leave him. Get out on on your own...make a plan for the rest of you life...then locate a man who will help you with your plan (or has a plan similar toyour own).

But this type of behavior can lead to abuse.....so you might as well dump him now while you still have some of your youth left.

Good luck

Even if he said it in anger, you should get away from him for a little while and let him see if he misses you. If he hurt you and your parents that shows he has no respect for any of you. And if he can't respect any of you, you need to give it a break.

He sounds like he doesn't really know what he wants, and if you stay you are bound to get hurt again. I'm sure your parents have told you the same. It's better to have lost in love and start over then be miserable the rest of your life.

whatever he said in anger is mental abuse and is far more damaging than physicall wounds which can heal without scars. get help if you are going to stay. press charges "next time" and force him to go to batterers classes(if he loves you, he will go). i've been through it and completed those things above. i am in counseling and have learned many life skills there. i now know i will leave him when i want to; oh, and i beat his *** like a runaway slave after he was arrested and until he was convicted cuz i knew he wouldn't risk catching another case by hitting me back. things are good now, believe it or not. dude is controlling you through abuse in many ways and continues cuz he knows you're not going anywhere.GOd bless and good luck!
