I am 30. What age group should I be looking at? I met a girl that is 22 but I think that may be too young. What do you think?

I was once given a mathematical formula for finding out how young a person you can date: divide your age in half and add seven. The idea is that people start dating at around 14 and they date people their own age. For you, 30/2=15; 15+7=22. You're just within the limit.
Additional: yes, mind any situation that would run you afoul of the law.

What is the legal age of consent in your state? It seems to me that anyone over 18 could be a possibility. After all, Michael Douglas is some 30 years OLDER than Catherine Zeta-Jones and they seem to be doing fine.

22 is good for 30. General rule of thumb...10 years either way.

If they aren't out of undergrad college or if you can't relate to the pop-culture references that they use (and vice-versa), then you're robbing the cradle at that age.

As long as she is over 18 you are fine. My grandparents were 10 years apart. If they are adult your good to go. I don't think bad of men who date younger women. I would if I was them.

Nah, you're ok dating her. 8 years isn't that big a deal between legal adults.

my father is 41 and dating a 25 yr old (my husbands age) irk. thats a bit much. but with your scenario,its alright. i see nothing wrong with it.
