As long as you're an American, patriotic or not, the First Amendment guarantees your right to say just about anything you like, with the exceptions of such things as libel, slander, incitements to riot, etc. However, it also guarantees the right of others to call you unpatriotic. It merely says that the government can't come down on you for saying such things, except as listed above.

Yes you can question them, but what makes them unpatriotic. Is it because they dont like the current people in power? Is it because the dont support the wars that were falsy started? It is not only the right but the responability of the American people to question their gov. So you answer that first.

Sure, the first amendment defends all free speech. So if I want to say that anyone who thinks that it's patriotic to call other people unpatriotic probably has a small wee-wee, then I can do that!

No, they don't. They have managed to use the media to twist the patriotism question around backwards, but I'm going to question the patriotism of the far right/religious right traitors every chance I get. I'm fricking sick and tired of those big-mouthed Bush-loving anti-American morons and I hope they get apoplexy hearing that we're not buying their transparent lies. If they're so eager to have a theocracy, let 'em move to Afghanistan with their Taliban buddies.

No they don't. They have a right to say what ever they want. And so do the people who disagree with them. Which includes questioning their patriotism.

If you are rooting for us to lose a war, cheer everytime one of our soldiers dies, you are not a patriot. They simply cannot have it both ways. You can't say you support the troops, but hope they get killed. With friends like that you for sure don't need enemies.

The First Amendment was adopted to protect people who DON'T agree with you - not those who do.

It's the defining freedom of the United States, and, at the time, unique in the world.

When we lose respect for our political adversaries, we will have the kind of democracy we've established in Iraq - kill the losers.

Of course they do, unfortunately you can absolutely hate this country and be very unpatriotic, but still live here and benefit from everything our ancestors have worked and died for. Its kinda messed up. If you hate the government and the country so much, move to Canada, or France.

Ah, you mean the democrat party.

They have a right to say whatever they want.

They have no right to avoid being called unpatriotic.
