Under what circumstances does it turn off?

o You may have hibernation enabled.
o It may be overheating
o You could have a faulty power supply
o You could have unreliable power.

I have a Antec power supply tester I use,
but if you don't wish to rush out and buy one,
see your local computer repairman.

More information would be helpful. When does the pc turn off, is it after it has been on for a long time (it could be overheating). Is it only when the computer is cold and has been off for a while? (cold solder). Is it a shutdown based on the hardware happening all of a sudden (power supply) or is it somthing that gives you a little popup in windows and says windows is now shutting down? (virus)

plug in a light to the power supply and see if the light truns off. I think you have a virus though.
