of these i need the first number that i would subtract from and then the lowest number i would subtract from the higher number...
bleh fractions are confusing:
2 1/2
3 1/3
-5 3/4
3/8
3 5/8

Just subtract -5 3/4 from 3 5/8 !

One of the easiest ways to do this problem would be to convert all the fractions to improper fractions. Then get a common denominator for all of the fractions. Once you have that you should be able to see the highest and lowest numbers.

You need to make them improper fractions and then find the common denominator. It's gonna be 24.
