Prince Rupert's drops? This isn't really glassware that is "used" in the normal sense; it's used in lab demonstrations of stress in glass. A drop is a sperm-shaped piece of glass made by rapidly cooling a drop of molten glass. If you break off a tiny bit from the tip of its tail, the whole drop shatters.

Does brittle fit? I work for a glass company and I cant think of a type of glass that has the third letter with an i. But sometime we have glass that has not been run through the Lehr (Heat treating oven) and it is just so brittle that it can crack just from the oils in your hands.
