I believe it is. When I was 17 I got "engaged" to (what I thought was) the love of my life. Let me just tell you that by 18 the engagement was off! I don't believe there is a problem with accepting a "promise ring" ... that means that when the two of you are adults (18) you promise to become engaged and then married. But think how silly you would feel if you went around telling everyone that you were engaged and then like 1 year later you weren't. I met my husband when I was 16, we didn't start dating 'till after the break up of my engagement ( he was otherwise occupied as well) and we hung out as friend and started dating then at 19 I was engaged again. My parents made me wait 1 year to get married (not the end of the world, seeing as I had to PLAN the wedding) and we have been happily married for 9 years now. Just take things slow, like I said a promise ring wouldn't be bad, it's something to say that you love each other, but not too final.

engaged. You can neither drive nor vote, so I don't know what makes you think you'd be ready to get married when lawmakers won't even trust you with a car. What would the 2 of you do, live with one set of parents? Just because the 2 of you either are in love or think you're in love at 14 doesn't mean you will be at 18, 22 or 40. People change, and they can change in unpredictable ways. By all means stay together, but at least wait until you're adults to get married. If you two are truely in love, what harm could waiting do?

Yes, I do.
Personally i'm not at all impressed with the way that kids that age behave. Excuse me but thats what you are to me. I'm 24 and you're kids. That have no idea how rough life can get when you try to make it on your own.
If you are too young to get a job then i suggest you not even consider it.
If you still write 'u' in a message then you're not mature enough for marriage. If you can't spell 'engaged' then you shouldn't be. And if you're with someone you don't wanna be then this is just an entirely silly question in the first place. Sorry for the harshness but you wanted honesty and sometimes it doesnt come with a dose full of sugar.

TOO EARLY! I was barely 18 when I married my 16 yr old gf. We thought we were ready and could take on the world. Within a year our first child was born. We continued growing apart because we were still growing up! We divorced six years later after realizing that we were best friends and not lovers. We still get along great, but shudder at what we had done so young.

I think you should wait another 10 years!!!! Married at 16? Be divorce at 20 with a baby and no eduction. Now there's a winner! What about collage? I know you don't need an eduction to have a baby! But you need one to support one!!!!!! Think this over BEFORE you do it. Marriage is very hard work.

Yes.

I hope it doesn't sound condescending, but a 14 year-old just doesn't know enough about the world, relationships, the opposite sex and life in general to make a rational decision regading such life-altering choices as getting engaged to be married.

Don't do it.

Yes it is to early you don't know what true love is. You're still young and first you have to know how to spell the word engage first
