He probably likes you if he (1) goes out of his way to talk to you, or in some cases (2) shys away from you. A lot of guys will play hard to get too, so you can't always tell by how much interest/attention he shows you. The best way to find out is to see how he reacts to the prospect of hanging out with you outside of school.

He'll flirt a lot, compliment you for your dress smell and looks. When he talks to you alone he'll have the sincere look and will look you straight in the eyes
