These are not points, these are equations of lines.

x=-3 is a vertical line passing through the x-axis at -3
x=1 is a vertical line passing through the x-axis at 1
y=-2x+3 is a line with a slope of -2 passing through the y-axis at 3
y=-2x-2 is a line with a slope of -2 passing through the y-axis at -2

The two vertical lines are parallel as are the two y equals lines. Since opposite sides are parallel, you have, by definition, a parallelogram.

If you graph this on the x-y plane you should be able to see the parallelogram.

Hope this help.

x=-3
a vertical line crossing the x axis at -3
x=1
a vertical line crossing the x axis at 1
y=2x+3
crossing y axis at 3(y intercept), your slope is 2/1 which means up 2 over to the right 1(rise/run)
y=2x-2
crossing y axis at -2, your slope is again 2/1

omg...youre kidding right? dude you gotta graph the lines. those 4 are equations and you gotta graph the lines. the x's will be vertical lines while the y's will be diagonal lines. its real simple. you should be slapped.

You've got 4 equations...graph the line for each one...then look at them.

draw out a graph that goes from -6 to 6 in all directions... mark the points and connect the dots, you will see it! :)
