first you decide what pictures and events you want to put in the scrapbook. You can have colored sheets, white sheets, or black sheets (to be dramatic). All of those can have bows, stars, strips, buttons, different pieces of paper like striped wallpaper, dots, different shapes and colors, etc. What you put in there would be what you have in common with that person. There are websites where you can buy such things, or go to a Hallmark store an get some ideas. In-between all the above you put pictures, a collage of pictures, just faces, newspaper pictures and articles, if it' sports related you can have like a football and the name and mascot of the team, etc. Anything that's fun to remember.

lots of pics, some decorative ribbons, 3-d things, prob avalible at your local craft store. stickers, wood crafts, put it in a hard cover book. include signatures from people, cute decorations like plaid designs, or flowers or etc.

the book is just to pretect the memories and make it look cute

as a gift for a friend you might want to find pics of him/her or even simple things like menu from fave restaurant or tickets from that concert you went to or anything that she likes... the thing about scrap books is that they are personal and fun to do....
