I have still to this date people hate and discriminate! When i was a little girl i was walking down the street from my house with my older sister and little brother I was 9 yrs old and some american men in a red truck who had a big confederate flag on their truck threw a beer bottle at us and hit my older sister!!!! I have been called a spick, I've had a lot of my friends called ******* and other such things but discrimination is not just about race people discriminate and hate on people bacause of their apperances like if they are to skinny or too fat or they are not wearing the latest fashions!!! People hate on you because of your finacial status, your sex there is just a lot of thing people hate and discriminate against about The world is very harsh but we just got to keep our heads up and not be like them haters!!!!

Absolutely. I was in a play last year and there was one girl who almost always missed rehearsals, and I mentioned to someone that it bugged me that there were people who really wanted her part, and she shouldn't have tried out if she wasn't going to be at rehearsals. Because she's black and I'm white, she got all the black kids in the play to join together to accuse me of being a racist.
And on opening night, a group of us were talking about colors, and another black girl overheard the word "color" and went nuts saying we had been calling her colored. I can completely understand her being upset if that was the case, but it wasn't at all, and she got in one girl's face and started saying she was going to beat her up, and it was just...bad.
I'm no racist, but I go to a school that's a pretty big melting pot, and I've dealt with and seen a lot of discrimination take place around there.

Yes, back in the early 70's on my school bus. I was the only white child on a bus of blacks. Most were from my neighborhood and were okay, but there was a few that gave me grief pretty much couple times a week.

No and I think it sucks that even in todays society, people can still be so mean and hateful. What ever happened to "treat others as you want to be treated"

Yes I have. I was teaching second grade, the children were of one race, I another. It was so sad, because I knew they learned it at home.

Hate is a strong word. I have been shut out of groups, which hurt.
