yes it will, what defragmenting does is create space on your hard drive, see when you delete something it doesnt really delete until something is saved over it, defragmenting takes all the stuff you have on your computer and moves it filling in all the "gaps" of deleted stuff

Yes there is a big performance boost the computer works more smoothly and programs open much faster.When your computer is fragmented files are scattered all over the hard drive and the hard drive has to work harder to find them.When you defragment a hard drive your putting the files together so the hard drive can find them fast its like a cleaning of the hard drive.

Fragmentation is when files become split into pieces in your harddrive. This puts them in different locations so it takes longer for your pc to read them and performance drops.
Run Disk Defrag to sort this problem and improve performance.. it puts all the parts together as best it can so all files are easier to read
