Well - it really depends on why he's depressed or crying.. is he in mourning for someone? Has he lost a job? Is he a teenager or an adult? Is he going through a rough patch right now, or has this been going on for months?

More than anything, you need to find out WHY he is depressed/crying - and then deal with that issue at its source. Some vitamin B wouldn't go amiss either, as it's really helpful to regulate mood.

Give him a hug, hand him some tissue and tell him to blow his nose. Then try and calm him down so we can communicate.
Usually when my hubby is depressed I have to play 20 questions
with the man in order to get any info from him.

He doesn't like to complain or show emotions during those kinds of situations, but I know him so well that all we need to do is look at each other and I understand what he needs.....Guess it comes from being together almost 10 years and having the same birthday, we're in tune with each other....soul mates.

I've never been in that kind of situation. I guess I would hold him and let him cry and talk it out.
