Being a lefty is usually a huge advantage in most sports, simply because there aren't a lot of them, so most people aren't used to facing them. Leftys in tennis are difficult for right-handers to deal with, since they're so used to dealing with other right-handers, and so on, in other sports.
I'm a lefty and I love stick -- you just have to adjust to some things. That said, with the prevalence of special "left-handed" stuff (scissors, notebooks, etc) out there, I can do anything a righty can! But the reverse is also true, there is nothing I can do that a right hander can't, except for in sports, as stated above.

I believe you're mistaken, lefties can drive a standard and they can do anything else right handed people can do. Being left handed isn't a handicap.

I don't think lefties have disadvantages. None of the lefties I know have any problems.
