The Cobalt has had some good reviews and I see many on the road. However it does not have a proven record.
As for Mitsubishi, the current model has been around for a while.
I'd choose the Mitsu just for the added reliability.

Mitsubishi isn't actually all that much more reliable than chevy. I think the the eclipse is overrated and most models are underpowered.
The Eclipse tends to be the car of choice for girls who want a car that looks sporty but don't really care that much about actual performance.
Can't say much either way about the colbalt.

An Eclipse by far!! My father has owned 3 of them and loves them. Just bought a 2006 last month and it's sweet!

I believe an eclipse looks and performs better.

id say the eclipse..cuz chevy vehicles arent very reliable
(ive had 2..both broken down..one was brand new..ones a 96)
we had 2 mitsubishis and they were excellent cars

mitsubishi will last alot longer and they look great
