If you think about it is the same as "Black Pride". I don't think being proud of being white should be wrong. African americns say "black power" but when a white person says it is wrong.

and no I am not a racist.

There is a difference in being proud of your heritage and thinking your heritage is superior to others. I don't think there is anything wrong with White Pride. Be proud of who you are! Black Pride doesn't mean us black people feeling as though we are some how better than every other race out there. That just means that we are proud to be who we are.

P.S. I still don't understand how people can use BET (Black Entertainment Television) as an example of race segregation. BET is not even owned by black people. Its owned by Viacom. Same corporation that owns MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, CBS, and many more. They created BET as a way to capitalize on hip hop culture. So, the White Entertainment Television, or any other variation is pretty useless in this topic.

I don't think White Pride is wrong. Neither is Black Pride, Cherokee Pride, Korean Pride, or whatever other Pride you want to choose.
What IS wrong, however, is thinking a certain group of ppl are inherently better than others. I am proud of my Southern heritage, but I know for a fact that I'm no better than anyone else.

There is nothing wrong with having pride in your racial background. BUT..."White power/pride" is a term which has been adopted by the KKK and other Aryan groups. These groups preach hate and violence toward others unlike them. The term "Black power/pride" was used by a generation of people preaching equality and not superiority over any other race. So it does make a difference. But if a white person told me "I'm proud to be white" I wouldn't be offended. But if they came up to me and said "White pride" It would make angry. It's how it's said.

I think we all should be proud of who we are, but publicly announcing this and making a big scene is just stirring up trouble. White, Black, why does it have to matter. Why can't we just be kind to one another. We are all human and want and need the same things in life. We are all the same until we decide to become hateful and want to hurt and tear each other apart.

I just wander what mankind could accomplish if we could get beyond the color of people's skin and difference of cultures .

if you are white you should be proud of your culture.
but the problem is 99% of the time when a person(a white person) says it,they are a racist or a white surpremmisist.

that makes it bad for the white who are not racist.
i'm black and i;m very proud to be black.
and if you're white,be proud to be white.
just as long as you don't put anyone down or make them feel inferior.

peace and love 2 all races.

Pride is not a problem. Militance is. But the reality is: if you're proud of something be proud of your heritage. Most White's aren't White. They're Portugese, English, Irish, German, and/or God knows what else. Blacks in America have Black Pride because we have nothing else to identify with other than our color. We don't kow if we're Gambian, Ghanan, Nigerian, Portugese, Spanish, Irish, etc.

It's just fine to have pride in your culture or heritage. It's not okay to have so much pride that you think becasue of your heritage that you are better than someone else, unless you're a Hatfield than your a hell of a lot better than those damed McCoy's!

Black pride is a response to people telling blacks they're inferior.

Ethnic pride is usually the result of some kind of oppression.

Klan membership always spikes after a war, when there are a lot of messed up unemployed guys around. Sure enough, the Black Panthers had a lot of vietnam vets...

Chicago has all kinds of ethnic parades, and I've seen the ones for my ethnicity, and its actually pretty hilarious. No thanks.
