Or would you risk your irreplacable life for your replacable material object?
I only ask this because when I read the papers or see the news some people get killed resisting these armed robbers instead of giving up their possesions and informing the police/authorities.

Don't be a hero. Anything is replaceable except for one's life. No material object is valuable enough to get injured or killed over. I would give up the replaceable material object.

If it involved my own stuff - - Hell no. I'd fight whoever it could be until I won. And I absolutely Guarantee that I'd win!
On the other hand, If it involved a stranger's or employer's stuff, I'd offer no resistance whatsoever.

If a robber wanted something that I have on me, that shows he's in worse shape than I am, and that's pretty bad. I'd just give it up.
