just wondering. it doesnt say in god we trust on it either because that motto wasn't printed on money back then. when my mom first saw it, she thought it was counterfiet money so she asked the bank. they told her to take it to the jail. 3 months later she got a letter verifying that this bill was actually real. and in it was a yellow paper stating that she was the legal owner of this bill lol

Yes, paper money appreciates the same and sometimes more so than coins do. If the bills are in good shape, they can be worth a great deal more. It all depends on how many were printed.

Yes it is worth more then $100 depending on what kind of condition it is in. One thing is for sure is that it is worth $100 worth of silver as it is a silver certificate not a federal reserve note.

What a total waste that that was not in the bank earning interest. she'd be rich now. Paper money doesn't appreciate the way coins do. oh well!
