Need a formula that really works, the straight store-bought cleansers stink! After scrubbing with a bleach solution, our light-beige grout still looks dark brown

Very tough cleaning requires a mixture of muratic acid and water, wear gloves. Problem is that it will also remove some of the grout. I have used a product called Kaboom, should be available at any home center store. I would wear gloves with this product as well. I did not and definitely did some damage to my hands. But the grout was clean as a whistle. I was impressed.

Use some bicarbonate of soda and mix with a tiny bit of white vinegar until it forms a paste. Apply this to the grout and leave for a couple of minutes. Then scrub and remove with an old toothbrush.

Good luck!

I too, used Kaboom, worked pretty well. Muriatic acid is dangerous!! and the fumes!!! dont try it. the mr clean eraser product isnt practical for grout, maybe for a spot here or there but for the whole floor they would shred very quickly.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I swear by them. I use them on everything that regular cleaners can't do the job.
