Conan has REAL cause!

Conan is an old movie, no special effects. If they remade Conan, it may be better. Gladiator didn't really have alot of special effects, but technology wins everytime.

Gladiator is really is a more expensive and serious movie, but Conan has so much energy and fun - I liked it better. And Gladiator was sad - critics love it when the hero dies at the end. For some reason they think it's more realistic. Like I go to the movies for realism. ;-)

Probably because it is. Conan the barbarian is really a spoof that lies between history and fantasy. The Gladiator is more historical and true to life, even as it is today.
Greed still rules the world.

Gladiator had an adult story line with real acting going on. Conan was something close to being on the level of fantasy/cartoon.

As a reader of Conan long before the movie, i was disappointed. I like both movies, but Gladiator is a better film

no man gladiator is one of the best movies of all time that and saving private ryan. have good meanings and gladiator has great music

Because many people consider Russell Crowe to be a better acto then Arnold Schwartzenegger. Personally I like Arnies movies better. They're usually more entertaining then Russells are.

Gladiator is posibly the best movie ever
perfect replication of roman times colloseum etc.
