The average starting salary at most ivy league MBA programs is 100-150K. Since this does not appear to be a major step up for you, and I assume you aready know this, then your question implies that you are seeking the higher degree for some other reason, not associated with money, i.e. fulfillment, challenge, and change. Since it is on your mind, you must not be getting these things at your current job. So, since life is short, I say GO FOR IT.

I don't think so.
It seems like you have too much to lose and not a whole lot to gain.
It would also depend on what you mean by " 6-figure income". If it's 100,000 then you may have reason to need an MBA. If it's 900,000 then I don't think you're going to earn anymore money as a result of your education.

what will be the benefit? do you not like the job you are in, perhaps you should wait and save some money till you can comfortably go back to school and live a nice life style while you are at school

Stay at your job and go to school at night. See if your company will pay for it. Mine did.

It would be nice to know what your job is, about your family, what your age is, etc. Otherwise, how can we advise?
