Well first off I'd wait a while, to make sure you are still dating him around Christmastime!

It really depends on what he is into. Think about what he likes and enjoys and go from there. Personally, if you're really into each other, I would suggest a trip to the theater, Broadway, a high class affair, or even a weekend getaway to a B&B or paris, or even a short cruise to the carribean. A gift of your time and company is far more personal and memorable that an item wrapped in gift wrap. Happy shopping!

Not sure. But, how about a gift card from an Italian restaurant; cologne and a card that expresses your appreciation of all the years of friendship and his presence is your life.

I'd say a gift card to his favorite store. Or you could get him a sweatshirt or hoodie of his favorite college or professional team. You also may be able to think of something between now and Christmas.

Christmas is 3 months away....hold off a bit this may not be a question by then.
You've just starting dating slow down a bit and take it one day at a time.

Listen to him. He may not tell you what he wants but he will give you hints.
Example: my husband is getting a 30 gallon air compressor. Every time we go to Lowe's or Home Depot or some place like that he always looks at them, but won't buy one because he says we can't afford it.

Ask him what he would like for christmas. If he says nothing, you've known him forever so give him something you know he would like. It does not matter that you've been dating a few months, what matters is that you are friends so he woudl appreciate anything.

A good, hard cover book on some subject which he is interested in. That is always good. If he is into politics I would suggest "American Theocracy" by Kevin Phillips. That was a very good book.

Purchase him a designer shirt or jewelry. You can always do the wine and a box of sexy lingerie for you, wrap it up and give it to him, he'll get what the rest of the gift is!

If you are still dating at Christmastime, it will be a few months. Maybe a nice shirt or a book from a favorite author or interesting subject.
