and burner so i cannoy burn cd s. when i open my computer Ddrive icon is missing plugs in the case appear ok

most likely the cd rom/burner has come unplugged from the motherboard. If the computer is still under waranty then take it back to the store where you bought and havit it fixed otherwise. disconnect the power from the tower, open the sides of the computer, inspect the cd rom data transfer ribbon cable to insude it is plugged in, also check the power line coming from the power supply and insure that they are plugged in properly. If there is no data cable or power supply plugged in locate the correct cable and plug it in. Be very cautious to not touch any of the printed circuit boards in the computer as you may damage the computer or yourself .

Check the Bios, to see if it's selected or set to Auto, Check to see if the IDE Cable is seated in the drive and MotherBoard, and while your in there check the jumper settings, to Cable Select.. Ground yourself when removing the side casing, touch a unpainted part of the PC, unplug all cords when opening the cover, etc.
