its really none of their business. they shouldnt teach any of that stuff. schools are supposed to be non- biased. i dont see how with the way society is today, a subject like that could be taught with an open mind.

Yes. I don't even have to think twice about it. I think marriage was designed to bring two people together for the purpose of having children and raising them in a family setting. Gay marriage is being proposed mostly so gay couples can enjoy the same privileges that a heterosexual couple do, such as health insurance, sharing of property, etc. That is not a reason for marriage. That's a reason to gain privileges. They are two totally different concepts. If gays wish to say they need to have a way to express their commitment to each other, than live together like many other people do. If a marriage license is the only way they feel they can do this, then they don't have much of a relationship.

How do you teach gay marriage? It's impossible. What CAN be taught is that there are many kinds of people and many ways to go through life. Beyond that, tolerance. Tolerance can be taught, the importance of not hating, the importance of understanding. Who would protest that kind of teaching?

You can't teach gay marriage, but you can be taught that it is acceptable. I think that they should teach the children to be open minded towards ALL people; including homosexuals. In my opinion it is not anyone else's business but the couple's- how the government thinks that it is okay to stick their noses into people's personal lives I'll never know.

I'm not sure any type of marriage is "taught" in the classroom. Not in any school I attended.

I would definatly not protest since it happens in real life anyway..I would hope that the teacher would make sure they have a good understanding of lifestyles and not discriminate others for their differences.

Why bother? People are going to be gay whether you protest or not. Save your breath.

Absolutely NOT!! ~ What I would protest, though, is the introduction of the NeoCON's brand of FALSE morality, wherein they say, it's wrong to kill an embryo, yet, they do not mind the killing of Thousands upon Thousands of innocent people, in an illegal war, simply for the OBSCENE PROFIT, of a select few!!!!

That's religious. I would be against it in public schools.
Civil Union: I really don't care. I can sum it up in 2 minutes.
