Dallas Texas is considering a law that fines people for sagging their pants.

Do you consider this a good law, or should they be focusing more on more important issues, than how people choose to present themself?

This would be another dumb law that would take up the Police & Courts Time. They claim to be overloaded now. They need to worry about serious crime & not penny ant s--t. The people on the city consel must not have much to do if all they worry about is how some one dresses

I am sure there are more important issues in Dallas than sagging pants. This a a fad and like all fads, it will go away on its own. No law needs to be enacted. Be careful not to infringe on peoples rights.

I wish they would do it everywhere. Sagging pants are offensive. I don't care to look at your underwear when you sit down. It is more than just a look, it is the attitude. Trying to look like a gang member, nothing cool about that. In my city it seems like every time they show a robber, murdered, rapist, etc, he is wearing sagging pants and a big oversize shirt. Why do people want to look so sloppy?

A law seems kind of extreme, but at least it will prevent people from looking like the morons they are when their pants are sagging. Real men don't sag their pants!

That seems a bit petty and extreme. Are there no other crimes that need attention in Dallas such as rape, murder, drugs, gangs, burglary, molestation, dui, underage possession, shoplifting, larceny, theft of services, battery, hate crimes, prostitution, disorderly conduct, etc. The list goes on! What are we the fashion police?

New Orleans had that law, too. Many N.O. people migrated 2 TX after the hurricane Katrina, so they have to make more strict rules.

It makes a mockery of the American concept of 'freedom' that you all hold so dear.

I think it is a dumb idea. What about people who simply look tacky. We can't fine them.

I think that there are more important things to worry about.
