I heard if you hang a CD from your rearview mirror, it affects their radar so they cannot read your speed. But I don't know if it's true.

No that does not work, what radar does is send out sound waves. The waves hit your car and bounce back. The time it takes to bounce back tells them the speed. the CD is merely more material to reflex the waves.

There is an electronic machine that sends out simular sound waves, it basicly jams thier radar ( but it is illegal in many states)

Radar also picks up the largest amount of material to bounce off of, so it will pick up a semi that is near you instead of you if you are driving close to it.

Drive safely, because you are not the only one on the road.
And if you hang anything reflective from your rearview mirror, you are going to blind other drivers. No, the CD gimmick is not true. And the police will notice your speed, they use the radar to confirm it.

nope. The radar waves bounce off the metal of the car cause its solid.......the radar your thinking of is from the game cops and robbers lol..............Police have what is called VG2 they can get an accurate reading just by clicking a button. They can instantly get a reading of your speed and there is no way to avoid it. The only way is to use a radar detector....that picks up the VG2 wavelength, this will warn you to slow down, but after all its your choice to slow down or not...............HAPPY WRECKLESS DRIVING! Dont do anything I wouldnt do.

Radar is easy to jam- there are devices that broadcast conflicting data simultaneously, for instance telling the radar gun that you're travelling 255 mph and 1 mph. The gun discards this information, but discards your actual speed as well. However, most speed guns these days are laser, and so far they're error-proof.

The only practical option that might actually work would be to coat your vehicle with the same material used to coat the Stealth generation of military aircraft. This remarkable surface deflects EMF radiation of all frequencies in multiple directions, rendering it practically invisible. Of course that would cost you more than a lifetime of daily speeding fines and land you in jail anyway, so it's a lousy plan.

How about you just obey the law?

Yeah there are alot myths about how to block the radar. And from watching myth busters and listening to my grandpa's old police stories i dont believe that there is a way.

Never heard of that one.... but i have heard of interior and exterior Neon Lights for automobiles screwing with a radars sensors..which could explain why in some cities/states there banned, and only sold as "for display only" meaning no use for when the car is in operation. but I use Neon interior lights (subdued under dash and under my front seats.) anyway....and have so far have got away with 3 warnings... not tickets.
there are visual methods police use to determine speed, so be careful..

Cover your car with radar absorbing material like they use on the stealth bombers.
I think you can get it at the local Pentagon office for a mere $10,000 per square foot.

Mythbusters showed that they did not even have a way to block it. All the typical urban myths were busted. This is including the stupid CD from the mirror myth.
