These black little bugs look like small finely ground pepper. We have sprayed, but they still come back. What are they and where do they come from and how do we get rid of them. they seem to be all over the bath rooms sills and in the sinks & tubs. Only in both bath rooms and in the master bedroom. They are also on the master bedroom window sill. They aren't in any other part of the house.

They sound like drain flies,I live in Tampa, they are always worse in the sinks, tubs etc.but can get in other rooms,I pour vinegar down all the drains or a drain cleaner like drano and cap it off for a few minutes,I don't see them again for awhile!Good Luck!

I know this going to sound crazy; but when living in FL, I had the same problem, so i mixed bleach and baking soda and white vinegar in a pail and wiped down all the window sills and then I filled sinks tubs and showers with 2 cups boiling water 1/2 cup baking soda, wait till bubbling stops and then flush with boiling water, this is safe for septic systems too. Do this once a month to keep them away.
