Well, with only three days to plan... Spend time with eachother, unplug the phones. Have an actual conversation, cook your favorite meal together. Eat it together. Then go at it like rabbits. Got kids? Thats what relatives are for, ship 'em off for a day!

Believe it or not, when my husband and I want to have a cheap romantic getaway, I get the bubble bath and scented candles out and we take a bath. The tub is a standard tub, and we're a bit squished... but I sit by the water spout and he lays on his back. I rub his whole body clean and he have a nice relaxing time.
How about a picnic in the park then a movie.
A long drive to an ice cream store.
A nice long relaxing walk holding hands in the park.
Kick the kids out of the house and make love where you never had before.

Either make a nice dinner together, and trade cards and flowers, or go to a nice dinner out. Then, start saving for a nice romantic trip for your tenth anniversary or fifteenth.
However, what you shouldn't do, is make it all about him! I read these other people's answers and, while great answers, usually revolve around the other spouse. It is "Our" anniversary, not his or her's. Do things together. Do go for a nice walk in a beautiful park or hand pretty lights in the back yard and a hammock and lay out with a couple a refreshing drinks. Just be together alone!!!
Have fun! (wink)

Just make sure the two of you are alone. No interruptions, phones, people, kids, cancellations, et.. Even if you just go to the movies or go out for some pizza for ten dollars, make sure to have some alone time! Nothing is more romantic than that these days, a married couple having a date...

How about cooking up a meal together - perhaps 3-4 courses worth, enjoying a bottle of wine, and renting a great movie. Give each other full body massages and don't forget to buy a card!

I've going to be married 8 year on Sept 13 and also on a budget this is what I'm planning to do. I'm gonna have my mom watch my kids over the weekend, that the morning of make him breakfast in bed then make love to him in the bed, then watch a movie of his choice then make love to him then cook is favorite dinner then make love to him, then sit a talk a little send him to the store while he is at the store I'm going to make myself into a ice cream sundae and make love again. because with 2 kids around it is very hard to make love and enjoy it.
