sidekix are kinda girly, but blackberries are ugly... id go with another phone....

No offense but they are both pretty high end phones for a sixteen year old. But in my opinion the Blackberry because it has so much more functionality. But it won't have the camera that a lot of kids are into. However it will have awesome internet speeds for a cellphone and it'll be great for organizing his school work.
BEWARE the Blackberry will not be insurable due to the high cost so he has to be very careful.
I'd personally suggest a sliver or a V3i (razr with i-tunes) when it comes out
(both are Cingular phones)

Blackberry... there better. The celebrity's only get the SIDEKICKS for free, thats the only reason they even have Sidekicks freddy!

blackberry are cool but boreiung because they have no camera
and the new sidekicks are REALLY badly made because i just had one and i got rid of it.... it also depends are whwat company you are at... verizonas the Q which i like

i think the blackberry is better because they are hott and all the celebrities like LINDSAY lohan, NICOLe RICHIE, and PARIS HILTON, JESSICA ALBA have them. and they say they cant go anywhere without them.... and the sidekicks... the celebrtities only have them because they get them free..... but they dont use them......
