Read the package insert that came with your pills or look up the specific brand name of the pills on a site like WebMD. Either or both should have clear instructions regarding what to do if you've missed a pill. The instructions vary depending on what week during your cycle you missed the pill and how many you may have missed. As you've been on the pill for 6 months and hopefully you've been taking it correctly, the chances are slim that you'll get pregnant, but it isn't impossible by any stretch.

And the reason you're asking in the 'history' section is because all the experts on missing a day of taking pills after sex are on this forum? Hmmmm, lemme see now, the pill i believe is proactive and not retroactive, therefore it works on the day after, so you're safe.....but get to the right forum next time.

It's not a very high chance, but you really need to be careful unless you're ready for pregnancy

it really depends on how fertile you are and where you are on your cycle. i know a whole bunch of people who got pregnant by missing one day. how soon the following day did you take it.
