to tel you the truth most women don't want that. But for the women that do it all goes back to there child hood. See if they were born without a mother or just doesn't have a mother figure. She will feel the need for feminine traits. So when she looks for a man subconsciously she is looking for a feminine man.

Women are not more attracted to men with feminine traits! That is usually a turn-off! Masculinity is much more attractive! However, good manners is not a sign of feminity. Some men have really gross habits like burping really loudly. That's not masculinity.

I'm not sure who those women are and why they would be attractive to men with feminine traits. Personally, if a man is not masculine I am not interested. Even men that have feminine traits can be masculine if he chooses to.

I'm into an outwardly man's man. I don't mind a guy who likes sports and is strong and a guy who's traditional (I mean, what girl doens't like a guy who pays and opens doors?) I like a guy who doesn't take forever to get ready because he's a real guy and that makes me feel like a real girl. These traits are all good, but I also like a guy who when he's just with me can open up and if that's a so called feminine trait, then I guess I like them feminine. There's just something about a guy who goes out and drinks with his friends and cusses at the sports on TV and then comes home and snuggles up to me and tells me "I missed you tonight, sweetheart, I love you."

Too many women have been burnt by manly men. A man who is manly is threatening because they seem unavailable emotionally, and maybe they are going to walk out, where as a 'feminine' man, or a man that is emotional doesn't seem as likely to abandon. I am not sure that is true, but at first glance, it seems like it is. I don't think it is really intimidation, it is just in a woman's nature to want to be treated special, and to know her man is there for her, not just for the night, but for the long haul.

It doesn't always. Women always have this two-prong attraction to different tyoes of guys. For every girl who likes Legolas, Leonardo DiCaprio, or Adan (sp? from sex in the city), theres another that likes Aragorn, Mr. Big, and some ripped guy from the gym.
And masculinity seems to be interpreted as machismo, which might work on a girl in a club but not even on that same girl anywhere else.

Excuse you? You don't understand that we, female and male, have both male and female traits.
If a man is sensitive and kind, that shows he is human, well adjusted and doesn't have a warped ego. Men who are wrapped up in being "macho" are the ones with the most to be concerned about. They are always looking to prove something, usually at their expense and others (women).
Women today are attracted to a good man, not one with issues.

It really depends on the individual woman. I love macho men. I don't particular like "metrosexual" (for lack of a better term) men. It's nice to see a man dressed up once in a while but I am more attracted to a man when I see him playing sports or fixing things around the house or working on his car.

Who the heck told you that? My daughter dropped a guy for having feminine traits. She didn't want to get an invitation to the Jerry Springer show.

Personally, I like them tall, I like them big, and I like them to be ALL man! I'm not into girlie men in any way, shape or form.
I'm a strong, confident woman...I'm not intimidated by any man walking. Never have been, never will be.
