how long you going to run it?
keep in mind it's the wire guage that will dictate allowable voltage drop before upsizing to the next wire size. Most BX / MC runs are short, I don't think I have ever seen anything past 20 feet, beyond that it's better to pipe and pull wire.

By code there no limit to how long you can run BX cable unless you have a voltage drop problem (3% from the farthest outlet)

In one run it would be limited to the length of cable you could purchase. I have bought spools in 600 foot lengths. But if you are dropping voltage you would have to go to a larger size wire. Keep in mind a 600 foot coil of 12/3 is very heavy.

Check your local code but I think as long as you dont overheat the line due to too much resistance, as long as necessary.
