It is really funny because I had two c-sections and I'm pregnant again. Most likely this birth will have to be a c-section. I cannot recall being worried the first two times. But this time I'm terrified. I can't explain why. You'd think because I've done it before that I'd be okay with it. But I'm only 13 weeks pregnant and all I can think about is how I am afraid of the c-section.
I'm sure everything will work out fine, for both of us. I guess it is normal to be scared. It just seems weird because we can't remember being scared about it before. Good luck to you. I'm sure it will all work out fine and then you'll laugh at yourself for being worried about nothing. :)

Both of my deliveries have been c-sections. I've never had a natural birth so I can't really compare the two.
Overall though I feel like they're great. You can schedule when you're going to have your baby. No labor which is a huge perk. No worries about a tear in a very sensitive area.
Of course there is the scar. But you won't be any worse off there since you've already had one.
There is a (very small) risk no matter what type of delivery you have. I think the week before you will naturally worry more because there is so much to prepare; that is when KNOWING when you're going to have your baby makes that part worse.
Easier said than done, but try and keep yourself busy making those final touches on the baby's room. Try to keep your mind on what it's going to be like to bring your new baby home :)

I have had 3 c-sections with the end result of beautiful and healthy baby boys. I was scared to death I believe it is a normal feeling which will subside in time as the procedure goes on. You eventually feel nothing except some tugging and pulling. Which is normal and painless the doctor has to cut through layers and layers of skin to even to get to the baby. Once the baby is out it the emotions are overwhelming with even some tears of joy. The epidural is like a bee sting in the back, the most uncomfortable part for me was being so big in the belly and trying to roll your back forward so the doctor could get and see the spinal column. Good Luck to you and your unborn child. God bless you both.

Just to clarify - that if you already had a C-section, your insurance will probably not cover a regular vaginal birth. This is because there are more medical risks to the mother if she attempts to have a vaginal birth.
A c-section the 2nd time around is easier than the 1st. Your stitches will have an easier time to heal, you have a lesser chance of having an anesthesia problem (you've proven to be ok with the drugs), and it's already known that your body can take it.
Even with vaginal births, women still get nervous about going into labor. It's because we already know what's in store for us. We know that it's going to hurt, we know that there will be a lot of healing involved. And it's also normal to worry about something going wrong. Because, it's not only our life but our childrens' lives that are changing. But - we also know what we are rewarded with, for our hard work. At least one beautiful baby.

I had a c-section after being in labour for 24 hours. Of course you are nervous! Everyone is with the thought of surgery but just think the end result will be a beautiful, healthy baby!
Because this is a scheduled c-section it will probably go very smoothly and with minimal delays. The anaethetist and doctors are not going to feel so rushed because this is a routine c-section.
In 5 years you forget what it feels like to get a spinal, but it doesn't really hurt anymore then a bee sting because they numb the area first.
So enjoy the next couple of days with your baby still being inside of you and realize you will be seeing their cute litttle face shortly!
Best of luck!

I felt that way before I had my baby. I didn't know I was having one until I was 4 hours into labor. I was scared. But they aren't going to let you feel anything. They will make sure you are good and numb. I was scared to death of the epidural, but it wasn't bad at all. If they ask you if you want to stay another day, say yes. With the staples still in it was really hard to move around and take care of the baby.
Hope it helps!
Good Luck!

your having a scheduled c? i would be more concerned with the fact that your child may not be as ready to come as you are to see it, i tell you this only because of my 3 births 1st was c, 2nd normal, 3rd scheduled c...while it was the easiest best of the three deliveries #3 was not yet finished baking and had to spend a couple weeks in baby icu. double check w/ doc and be absolutely sure.... i'm sure everything will be great for you, congratulations, and good luck

I was more nervous when I had my second c-section. But I think that's because I knew what was going to happen.
Just relax. One in three births is a c-section.
Congratulations, welcome to the two c club. I have a neighbor that had 7. Now that's scary!!

I've had three C-Sections. I was always nervous when I had to get the epidural. You have to just really focus and try not to move. I would just think about the joy that I would feel once I saw my baby's face. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have the ability at this time to do a vaginal birth PLEASE
DO IT. I had a very unwanted ceserean...and many things
did go wrong. If you have no choice then you have no
choice but...
AND THIS IS A BIG BUT!
If you have an option to do it naturally, the way
god in his green earth intended please do it!
Giving birth is not an illness and doctors turn
it into one-and they mess up ALOT!!
I hope that if it is not in your power to chose
everything goes well. you make sure you have
people there to watch out for you whatever
you decide, my ceserean was caused by
doctors and nurses keeping me flat on my
back and not letting me get up...THANKS!
