It's not you, everyone is louder. I think it's because they play their music too loud, and it affects their hearing after a while (everyone else's hearing, too!) Some cultures seem to speak very, very loud. Black folks seem to scream at each other, even when they are standing right next to each other. I don't know what's up with that???
