Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'T is the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us as a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Gore and Kerry were that much worse.
Seriously though... learn a bit more how the real world works, before you spout off unfounded rhetoric. Bush is not a great President, but by no means is he bad. His popularity may not be the best, but the state of the economy, the efforts towards terrorism, and some of his domestic policies are actually showing him to be a bit better than average. Not that I whole heartedly agree with anything he has, but I disagree with less than I agree with.
________
And don't pay attention to the liberal rhetoric of "he never was elected"... He did win the first election. The Presidential election is not by a nation-wide popular vote, it is by the electoral college which almost always follows the popular vote of each of the individual states. It was GORE who tried to thwart the process through the courts.

What I think of him:
1) He isn't particularly well-qualified to be President. He seemed to inherit the office rather than earn it.
2) The case of Bush v. Gore, in which he sought an injunction to stop the counting of ballots in Florida, was atrocious and it's enough to keep me away from the Rep. party for the rest of my life.
How did he get elected? Can't answer that one.

He didn't, and that's the terrible part. His people, under the direction of Karl Rove, orchestrated a magnificant campaign to label anyone who qestions the elections or George Bush as liberal, unAmerican, and unpatriotic. Check out the link, it states that the Fedetral Government's General Accounting Office found valid doubts about the outcome of the election:

Let's see, no other president has had to deal with a terrorist attack on US ground so we need to give him a little break there. I dare say that if Al "I love to lie about global warming" Gore was in office when 9/11 occurred, the country would be in much worse shape.
Clinton (and therefore Gore) had Bin Laden in his sites three times and could have taken him out. He chickened out each time. He's a puss and the worst president ever. Bush at least has the balls and determination to go after them before they can hit us.
We've been in WW III for some time now and if you don't understand that, then you live in Utopia and probably believe that if we leave them alone, they'll leave us alone. I hate to break it to ya, but they're going to continue to come after the west until one side is destroyed. I prefer to have a president who understands that and who has the conviction to do something about it.
After all of that, I have to say I dig President Bush. He's not my favorite president of all time, but I bet 20 years from now he will be looked at in a new light. People will finally understand his vision and he'll be appreciated for it.

He has an IQ of over 130. Not genius but smarter than 90% of the people in the US.
He carried both the populace and electoral, so to be specific, more people liked him during the election than they did John Kerry. Or, probably to be more accurate, they liked the Republican platform over the Democratic platform.

Fact is that he never did get elected, he was appointed to his first term. He lost the election and won the court case. He will go down in history as the worst president that ever was, or ever will be because if it gets any worse we are in danger of losing our democratic and free state. Living under totalitarian rule would be horrible and we are close to that now with Mr. Bush and his department of homeland security.
