We are not asking how to diagnose an air leak, this we know. We are asking if the 100"rev tec has some (unusual cause) The normal solutions dont seem to be resolving it.

I will assume here that you have checked both mating surfaces and found them "flat". You probably will not like the solution but if you wish to stop your leak, it's what it takes. Get yourself new upper end gaskets, barrel and head, etc. Take the top end down and put new gaskets on all parts. Install the intake manifold with "OLD" gaskets and tighten "a little more than finger tight", its a feel thing. Now torque down the heads as prescribed by Revtec and or Harley to the correct specs. Remove the intake manifold and the old gaskets. Using Vaseline, lube the NEW gaskets for the intake manifold and slide them into place, this needs tender care to not damage gaskets. Torque the intake bolts max 15 ft.pd. evenly and you should be leak free. Just a note, if you work very fast you can use "clear" RTV silicone to slide intake gaskets into place. You do have to work fast because if the RTV "skins" over before the manifold is torqued it will still leak. Also make sure no dirt from your fingers is in the whatever you use to slide with as this too will cause a high spot and leak. Hope this helps. Al

revtech is made in taiwan, all their products are garbage. try an S & S manifold and gasket. TO check for leak spray wd 40 around the gasket. if it sucks it in and the revs go up you still got a leak. might be a problem with the flange. This is expencive but new heads by STD would be a good fix.

I personally have found this web site and then bought one there. Not totally impressive with their shipment speed but does save approximately 65% and very pleased to have this. The quality is actually superior and also till today never find a problems.
