It is very simple and I don't understand why ppl ask this question so often.
Marijuana can not be made legal because it is a drug that alters the mind and does harm to the body even when used in MODERATION.
In layman's terms, one beer does no harm to your body and does not get you high, whereas, one toke off of a joint does.

Pot is illegal because the government refuses to issue a tax stamp. That is the short of it.

Because it gives the user pleasure, plain and simple. Of course, so does alcohol, but for some stupid reason pot has a stigma. Gov't says it's bad, so we are supposed to agree.
Lunacy.
Just a note to pot's detractors: Louis Armstrong, Paul McCartney, Bob Marley, just to name a few famous people use(d) it regularly.

It has a profund affect on the brain. It depresses the though proccess and changes the way the user views reality around him. It has very addictive properties which leads to trouble on the job, in relationships, school, and society in general. I'm sure there will be someone that will get on here and use the often heard line "it comes from the ground maaannn, it's from nature it won't hurt you." So to all those people i suggest tomorrow you go stand out in the sun without a shirt or sunblock ALL day and see how much the NATURAL sun DIDN'T hurt you, retards.

Pot is illegall, and shall remain so, because, there is much more PROFIT to be made, from the, so called, "War on Drugs", sponsored by our government!!!! ~ Legalizing it would take money out of the pockets, of the select few, that run this phony war!!!

Because if you were stoned all the time you would realize how fuc%ed up the world really is.So the powers that be keep it illegal.Anyways the C.I.A. would have nothing to sell to finance their illegal operations if it were legal.

Also have you ever asked why is tobacco legal ,when in fact used as directed will kill you!
Marijuana laws support a corrupt system of judges,politicians,policeman and bail bondsmen who know that by keeping it illegal they in fact secure their own dubious jobs

Because the government can't tax it. If they did tax it people would just get it the way they do now.
The investment would be too large for a business or for the government to take a chance and legalize it.
