how much does gerbils cost?

with food and all the stuff you need for a gerbil im thinking about buying one

*gerbil itself- $10 to $20
*cage (for one gerbil only)-$25-$40
*Food- about $5
*Chew Sticks- $3
*Water bottle- $3
*bedding (small bag)- about $6

WANTS
*Treats- about $4
*wheel (non-wire!! plastic only because gerbils cannot move their tail and it WILL get stuck, I know this is a "want" but its best to get one)- $3
*plastic house for sleeping and hiding- $4 to $6
*exercise ball (small size)- $3

To get everything it will cost you $70 to $80. You can just get the basics and get more of the "wants" as time goes on. You won't need as much food, bedding, and water as you would for most other rodents becasue gerbils are desert animals, and therefore eat, drink, pee, and poop less. Great animals and don't stink as much or as quickly!!

Jeez, I don't know where they are buying gerbils!! Most places you can get one for about $5, $10 tops. You can buy a complete cage setup for about $20-$50 depending on how big and fancy you want it, and food is usually around $2 for a box that lasts a couple weeks to a month. Bedding is around $5-$10 for a package that will last about a month.

$6- $10. But you should put a gerbil in a 10 gallon aquarim and not a hamster cage. The aquarium is about $10.00, so you will spend about $20.00 all together including food.

gerbils nomaly cost only like 15 bucks but u have to buy a cage and food soo yea!!!!!
