You do the insides of the parentheses first:

3+2 = 5 and 16 div by 4 = 4

Then replace the parenthetical expressions with their values in the whole expression:

4*5+2*4

I'm sure you can figure the rest.

The best way for you to do this problem is to follow the order of operations.

Step one: Parenthesis
Step two: Powers
Step three: Multiply and Divide left to right as you read
Step four: Add and Subtract left to right as you read

20 + 8 = 28

You always go through & do what is in parenthesis first. ALWAYS!
