I don't think that they have what it takes to make it this year. This team still needs another year or two to fully develop and get a little bit more talent and allow their current talent to grow. There are just too many teams in the West that are capable of pulling off a spot in the playoffs and although Chris Paul is a great leader I don't know if he is good enough yet to out do the other great leaders in the West.
The West will probly look something like this this year (not really exact since I'm not too sure how the new playoff system works so this is based on straight records...not how theyd fall in playoff slots):
1. Dallas
2. San Antonio
3. Phoenix.
4. LA Lakers
5. LA CLippers
6. Denver
7. Sacramento
8. Houston

Overall, Yes.
I think that with the additions of Stojakovic and Chandler, they can. and Chris Paul will definatly be much better, And He's already playing the STARTING point guard for Team USA.

Actually they are a pretty good ball team, if they work hard and together there is no reason that, they should not make the playoffs. I know I liked to watch them play last year, they kept my attention. I am a die hard Celtic fan and loved them when they were on top and can't in good conscience dump the Celtics, for now they are not so hot. There is no rule I can't like other teams also. Keep the faith.

Maybe if they were in the Eastern Conference. I just think the Western Conference is to tough. However, they should be improved, and they may even finish with a winning record.

Yeah, as an 8th seed or maybe even a seventh, cuz that core is young and talented. Now if only Peja wasn't such a p ussy...

I really doubt it. They have a good team, but the West is so unbelievably tough. The Hornets have improved their offense, but not quite their defense which wuz their main failures last year

I don't think so, Chris Paul is very good. He needs a lot more help than he has got.
