It's on Montego Bay, and it's called Half Moon. I'm going to be in my cousins wedding which is scheduled in April for like 3 or 4 days, and I'm wondering what to expect.

Is it expensive? I only plan to bring enough money for food, since I can't afford any luxuries. I'm in college, and my older brother is luckily paying for the room, and my aunt is buying the dress (If I wasnt in the actual wedding party, I wouldnt be going)

But what were your experiences? Are there restaurants and bars for ever budget? and what about free or included ammenities and activities?

thanks!

Check Jamaica's Tourism websites and click on Half Moon in the hotels' section. You need to find out if it is an All Inclusive hotel--chances are that it is because the currency in Jamaica is something like $40 Jamaica dollars to U.S$1.00 dollar. Most hotels would prefer to have you spend all your monies in a package around their resort anyway. Check to see if all taxes, meals and departure tax are included. That way you can travel with U.S$50--that is $2000 Jamaica dollars and good souvenirs are inexpensive. You can buy your Christmas gifts very cheaply.

ok am from montego bay living in montego bay studying travel and tourism and i know the resort, its a classy place yes on the expensive side offers all-inclusive but you can always take a taxi into town and have dinner or lunch there while if your on the inclusive package you should'nt have anything to worry about except taxi and it would be better to rent your own car if your going to move around you'll need it oh also half moon has their own shopping area i never been in the shopping area but it looks "posh" also have a taj mahal there which is a expensive jewellery store so expect prices but if you want to have a good time just get intown there is alot of things to do there...i send send you a list if interested also $1USD=$64 JMD not $40 like whats listed above. have a great trip!
