g/mol is not a unit of density at all so it is not the same. 1 mol is 6.02 x 10^23 atoms and g/mol is the molar weight or molecular weight.

not at all. a mole (mol) is not a unit of density. it's been a while since i took chemistry, but it has something to do with the number of atoms, rather than their concentration.
don't take my word for it, but i don't think they're the same.

grams per mole is molecular weight, grams per centimeter cubed is density. You can't measure density in grams per mole.
