I've been to a Doctor of Naturopathy. They use the initials ND instead of MD. I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to, or if you're asking about an MD that also does alternative and complimentary therapies.

I trust my ND completely. I started going to her when western medicine failed me. I have found that people who have been through this training are very knowledgeable about all types of complimentary and alternative therapies. Moreover, they seem to have a genuine interest in helping people, and not just charging them $130 for an office call. To find a naturopath near you, check www.trinityschool.org. They have a listing of their graduates by state on their web site. I would wholeheartedly recommend that you visit one.

A typical session with my naturopath includes iridology, kinesiology, and herbal recommendations. She only charges $30 for a visit, plus any product you purchase. Typically, they have products in stock for you to buy right there.

Hope this answers your questions!

I took my son due to all his ear infections and I strongly believe in them. The only problem is that their treatment involves not eating all kinds of things I have to eat... like wheat, dairy, etc.

It was way to difficult to follow.. I couldn't imagine removing all those things from my diet.
