I'm going into business for myself and I'm looking for things to hand out with my name and number on them for advertising. You know like key chains, magnets, water bottles etc. Do you know of where I can get these things in bulk. I'm especially interested in water bottles without lables so I can put my own on. Any other ideas?

It will really help to shop around on those kinds of items. Go to a search engine like dogpile.com and type in keywords like advertising specialties. There are companies that actually do the imprinting for you which costs more but looks better than labels on a water bottle. If you want to go with your own label to save money, then, just look for wholesale water bottles.

Do a google/yahoo search for "promotional".

It will give you TONS of sites. Look through the sites for ideas on different products and compare prices...just because one site is cheap on one item doesn't mean it is with ALL items.

I've done this many times for the marketing company I work for. I get great ideas that I would have never thought of buying just browsing promotional sites and get the best price by comparing.

Get items that people will USE so that they SEE your name and don't just toss the item aside.

A unique marketing idea is to put your sticker or logo on a booklet which you can give out to free to your customers or to past customers as a gift. The stress reduction booklet speaks to a lot of different people and it is also viral marketing because people give it to friends and it has your company sticker on cover.

The thing with keychains is that other people don't see it. It's good to find something that the client will like but also it can spread to other people as well.

With a booklet you can include it with an invoice, flyer or
at holidays as a greeting and thank you.

Your best option is to contact a Specialty Adverting company in your area. There are literally a hundred thousand products to choose from. A specialty person will help you choose the best options based on your target audience, your budget and where you want the product to end up (example - in the person's car, on their desk, on the wall, by the phone, etc.)
