If there is a correlation between a person's level of honesty and intelligence, I suspect it would be the reverse. Smart people avoid lies whenever possible: nothing valid or meaningful comes from dishonesty.

Liars diminish the value of their relationships and often lack even basic realistic impressions of themselves. They don't perceive the longer-term, bigger picture resulting from their attempts to lie. They consistently lose the faith and trust of others, and are usually left wondering what happened.

People who thoroughly know not to lie are the smart ones.

i feel that liars are plain ignorant people. one can know how to lie and that doesnt make one smart. after all, the liar most of the time, ends up being discovered.

Umm, you have to be smart in order to lie. But not all liars are smart. Anyone can lie, it's a human trait.

I'm smart enough to toy with the liars. Even the good ones have telltale traits that betray them. And you have to be good enough to know what that is. An absolute trust in God is the start.
