Have you ever seen a really shiny penny, right out of the mint? They're not even copper-colored, they're practically silver with just a hint of pink. They sure as hell don't look like money.
The same thing happens to girls with credit cards and cosmetics. Too much polish, too much perfection, and they end up looking like a magazine cover or a pornstar, not anyone you'd want to take to the movies.
