Ok. In speech class, we have to give a speech on a sentimental object, and I have NO clue really what to take. I have narrowed my choices to my baby pillow, and a scrapbook that I have made of 2 yrs ago when our softball team won the UIL Texas State Championship.
My pillow I have slept on every night since I was born...I know its sounds dumb and stupid, thats one of the reasons I don't want to take it. but i do sleep on it still, I don't know who gave it to me. but i could probably talk to whole required minute about it.
The scrapbook on the otherhand is something I made, I LOVE softball, I mean im only the manager, but still it is something in school that i can get away fromt he normal.
OK enought of me blabbing, which one should I take.

Whenever I have to do something about this I make it up, its easier that way. so just bring a model airplane or something, and say that you made it with your grandpa just before he died and how it is very sentimental to you and every time you look at it you think of all of the good times you had with your grandpa.
even if he is still alive, this is a sure A+

You have to give a speech, eh?
Well, I would choose the scrapbook for several reasons.
1) You have a lot to 'talk' about- the games, the team members, etc.
2) You could talk about the time it took to put it together-what "plans" you made and how you constructed it.
3) Tell the audience about your roll as the manager and how the Championship was won!
4) You have a lot "visuals" to use- open up the book and show the audience the newspaper articles, the photos, etc.
I think the audience would relate to the scrapbook more than the pillow. The pillow does have sentiment attached to it, but I think the more interesting story is in the scrapbook.
Good luck with your speech.

I, too, have a sentimental attachment to my pillow. I don't think that sounds dumb at all. But I think the scrapbook would be a better subject, because there would be a lot more to say about it. You can talk about why you made/make it, what you are hoping to communicate with it, why you chose certain items, how it has affected you, etc. Good luck.

I'd take the scrapbook. It's an important thing to you, that you like [that's why you made it in the first place] and plus you like softball. Two pluses there.
Your pillow is too special. Sometimes when you care about something/someone too much, you don't want to share it. Keep your pillow as your little pleasure, as your little secret. :-)
Hope it works!

I would talk about the team!
You now what happend and all that stuff!
The pilllow is good, but if you dont know who gave it to you, there's not much to tell about it! Other than you slept on it every night!
you can tell more on the softball and would proly get a btter grade since it would be longer and more to tell!
good luck
Plus what happens if you happen to lose ur pillow...I am sure u wouldnt want that to happen!!!

I would take your scrapbook because I think you would probably feel more comfortable talking about that in front of your class. Also I think you would be able to find more to talk about in your scrapbook (i.e. going through the pages) than you would your pillow.
Good luck.
