Becuase doing something that is hard gives you a satisfaction that could never be achieved by taking the easy way out. It is good to know that you have legitimately achieved something that was hard for you personally. Additionally, life may be hard but there is so much of it that is uniquely precious. And sure times get tough, more so for some than others, but without suffering there could be no compassion. If you are someone that is experiencing a particularly high amount of pain or sadness right now, just think about how much more you will be able to appreciate good moments. People that have never suffered cannot truly appreciate happiness. So in a way, suffering is a blessing and doing something hard is a blessing. Consider that.

Each life is precious, unique and irreplaceable. Life is not always hard. There will be some great and shining moments along the way. There will be hard times, too, but that is what life is made up of.
Death is not the best of alternatives. Man was created to live eternally, and we will all live eternally in one of two places: heaven or hell. You could very easily choose death and wind up in a situation far worse than the one you are in now.
Think about it.

There is always a chance for something new when you are alive. No one knows for sure what happens when you die. Could be anything from nothing, to being reborn (do it all over again!) to being tortured forever (some people believe that). But living, you can do something different, try something new. Life is what you make of it. I guy in Mexico once told me, "You're here for a good time, not for a long time." He is sooooo right! Yeah, your going to have some tough times, but that's why you have to make the most out of enjoying the other times!

all I can say is --my life right now isn't perfect but it's wonderful. and I can hopefully positively impact the lives of the people I come in contact with. . .

oh my dear friend dying is very hard indeed never think that dying is so simplistic
for it is not at all now dead is simple and rest worthy but getting to dead is in deed a whole different matter indeed!
