This year for back to school, I shopped at a wide variety of places.
Abercrombie and Fitch
American Eagle
Hollister
Pac Sun
Aeropostale
Old Navy
Kohl's
The ones towards the top are the more expensive stores, the ones towards the bottom are less pricy, but still offer good clothing. Hope I was a help to you.

It really depends on your style. If your into punk/skater clothes then check out Pac sun and then you could try hot topic but there you get more into the Gothic scene. Preppy clothes are very in these days, the best store for that style in my opinion is Abercrombie (for kids) and abercrombie and fitch (for adults), its a little pricy but def. worth it. Other "preppy" stores- American eagle, aeropostale, Hollister. If your looking for just classic cool style then you could try out different Department stores, like Jc Pennys, Fileens, Macys, the bon ton, sears or Kohls. Vintage Grundgy Clothes are also in and some places, for that style any type of thrift shop is good or at my local mall there is a store called delias which is a total 80s flash back.
Hope this helps :- )

Pretty much EVERYWHERE.. you have to be more specific. It depends on what style you like.
If you wear preppy style clothing, there is Abercrombie, Holister, American Eagle, etc.
If you were skater/surfer style there is PacSun, an a lot of other stores.
Some more stores are:
Dilliards
Macys
Bealls
Wal-Mart
Aeropostale
w/e you like
